i live in the uk and im retired by the coast,after seeing detectorists on the beach i thought id give it a go and bought a garrett ace 250 for my first detector,after a few trips to the beach i decided if i was going to keep detecting then i should buy something that would better suit my needs and so i bought my first equinox 800 followed shortly by my second (as a back up).i had a boat at that time that i used for fishing and decided to go diving further out than the lowest tides and bought the excalibur 2,but after a few dives i got rid of the boat and never used the exclibur again as i couldnt get used to the tones/setting (dig everthing)as we will be going on holiday to warmer climates i thought i better get a detector that has vdi and is proper waterproof,so i bought the nokta legend,and that led me to finding this forum
