    Opinion on the Deus 1

I ran a Deus 1 with a good deal of success several years ago just preferred the CTX in the long run for the tones. The things I never clicked with on the Deus was the digital tones and the constant multiple battery charging. As far as depth , speed and discrimination goes it is top notch.

Got a question about digging Pennie’s.

I've posted this before but this was a 40 on the Legend and a solid zinc on my friends NOX 800. 16.3 gm. 10k

Has anyone attempted to send in 'mutilated' coins aka zinc pennies since they revamped the whole process ?

I still run mine through the tumbler with the copper pennies just so they will go through a coin machine. You can check online which Coinstar machines issue coupons for which vendors and then choose where to take them to get the full value of the acceptable ones at the vendor of your choice. I...

Since we are all frozen in and not much in the 'What's new' category, Thought I'd start a thread, 'What's some of your weirdest finds ??'

I had about a dozen hash/pot/crack pipes I threw in with the copper recycling metal.

Need help identifying this small horse shoe.

That is a scotch bottom style of horse shoe that was developed for draft horses for various reasons from appearance to traction and cushioning on hard surfaces. The small size doesn't make much sense unless it was on a small pony or burro that was used to pull some kind of cart so the decoration...

How many hours would you guess this coil has been used.

I wouldn't go so far as saying it was "abused" but definitely saw a good deal of time over harsh terrain. Abuse kind of requires intent and I have one site that is an old dump with terrain that's very rough and it could produce a similar surface just from a lot of hours of regular use. That ebay...

    Coinstar finds today....

I dump my zincs in the coinstar that gives back a "gift card" to the store of my choice , no premium. I usually run the rejects through twice and always leave the return overflowing with rejects and can imagine the kid taking them to a teller to buy chewing gum or some other form of candy.:)

Nokta Legend V1.16 Ring Find Today.

Silver sounds good; easy to confirm if 18k acid turns a streak to a white powder looking streak.

    Totlot wonder

The fence was still down and the access Nazis are not around on Sunday morning so I made a trip back to cover the areas I left last weekend. No decent jewelry but did end up with a wheat and 5 Chucky Cheese tokens:)

    Totlot wonder

For some reason that totlot has always been a good producer , doesn't see much detecting and is attached/attended by a day school so security keeps it pretty sequestered from everything but those who use it and they seem to be pretty careless with their change. (y)I have found very little...

    Totlot wonder

I stumbled into a totlot that has been closed off to anything but kids and their parents for the last two years , fence was down and I only got through about half of it before my legs gave out;)
