    I did a search and did find a lightening rod very similar to what you found. I think you stated it was brass…. Could it be copper perhaps? If so, I feel it is part of a lightening rod. Well, it was a lightening rod….now it is multi marshmallow roaster….🤣

    I checked it with my 800 and it read up at 32/33 which is the TID I have gotten on other known silver rings, so I feel it is indeed silver… too heavy to be stainless in my opinion. It weights 9.4 grams.
